ABOUT THE WORK
Designed to create a tension between the piece and the sitter, the Uneasy Stool creates a sense of anxiety around the form and function of the piece. The lack of fasteners, the industrial materials embedded in the cushion, the jagged pieces hovering below the seat, and the abnormally high seat height all imply that the stool is not as inviting as its playful shapes and colors might suggest.
